Little Miami (Loveland/Milford/South Lebanon)
LITTLE MIAMI CLUSTER (LMC)
The LMC roughly represents the north-eastern suburbs of Cincinnati. Rides and social events are commonly based out of Loveland but we regularly stage rides from areas as diverse as Goshen and Caesars Creek. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and social group of people and our rides reflect those personality traits. Our weekly rides offer leaders for various speed groups and we adhere to the “no drop” policy as outlined by club guidelines. We offer multiple “all-club” rides each season, defined as rides with marked roads and cue sheets and/or maps, as well as many other more informal and impromptu bike rides.
WEEKLY RIDES
Saturday Breakfast Ride: Meets in Goshen every week at 8 AM April through November, and 9 AM December through March. This is a marked route ride of 42 miles that follows mostly flat country roads. We stop for breakfast half-way in Blanchester although some “express” faster paced riders will ride through. On most weekends in the main riding season we will offer ride leaders who follow a shorter route at a more casual pace, the availability of these leaders is announced on a weekly basis on the Ride Line. The SBR goes year round and if you have ever considered winter riding this would be a great group to get started with.
Pizza Ride East: Meets every Tuesday evening during DST at the Loveland LaRosas. Many will share a pizza after the ride. The roads are not marked but instead we have ride leaders for various speed groups. Early and late season rides will finish at dusk or dark and lights are required at those times of year.
Tuesday Night Ride: A night ride that requires lights and is run during EST when the Pizza Ride East ends. The start point changes to the bike trail parking lot in downtown Loveland.
Details on these rides are available by clicking on the ride posting on our club calendar.
ALL-CLUB RIDES
Most seasons we put on the Four County Ride, Chili Repeat Ride, Caesars Creek Ride and New Richmond Ride. Often these events will include a picnic or have refreshments at ride end. In addition, we plan several more informal rides led by individual leaders with a cue sheet option for those riding in their own groups. These events will be posted well in advance on the website calendar and you will see reminders on the Ride Line.
The Little Miami Cluster is one of the most active in the Cincinnati Cycle Club. Join us to find out why we have so many regular riders. Your cluster leader is Irvin Lewin, if you would like further information on the LMC contact me at lm@cincinnaticycleclub.org.
