CINCINNATI CYCLE CLUB
2007 CHILI BICYCLE TOUR

What is the CHILI?
The Cincinnati Chili ride is a for casual and
serious bicycle riders. It’s not a race
but you can ride at your own pace. Enjoy the new spring air and, if you want,
smell the flowers along the way.
Scenic
Support?
Riders will receive a fully detailed route
map. Roving patrol vehicles will be on
the routes watching for riders with mechanical problems. We’ll provide a cell phone number that you
can call to report problems. We’ll also
have 2 conveniently located rest stops so you can make multiple visits on
switchbacks.
Refreshments?
You bet!
The CHILI is well known for great food and snacks. Entertaining rest stops will be on each route
with refreshments to fuel your ride.
Fresh water, Gatorade, fruit and snacks will be in plentiful supply for
all. Restroom facilities are at all
stops.
Times and Location – All Times are Eastern Day
Light Savings Time!
All rides start at
The highlight of the Chili is the after-ride
all-you-care-to-eat optional buffet to benefit the JDRF. Served inside at the high school, Chili Feast
includes a Cincinnati-style chili and baked potatoes. Use the chili to top a
mound of steamy spaghetti with Cincinnati-style toppings of grated cheese or
chopped onions and make your own Chili "creation”.

a self-addressed envelope if you wish a confirmation of your entry)
Planning
for the CHILI takes a lot of time. Your
early registration allows us to purchase ample food, assign volunteers and have
enough maps. Waiting to register at the
last moment can result in a shortage of supplies and people who support
you. Please signup by April 20th.
Safety is a major concern. We require all riders to wear an ANSI
approved bicycling helmet (on their heads).
Children under 16 are welcome, but must ride with a responsible adult
rider at all times. Riders not complying with the safety guidelines will not be
permitted into rest stops and will be denied road services.
