The monthly schedules are provided to members and non-members as a free resource. We encourage members and non-members to share our appreciation of bicycling and attend our group rides.

We encourage non-members, who frequent club rides, to become members of the CCC. As a volunteer organization, we work hard to provide special events and safe and interesting rides for bicyclists of all ages and abilities. But, even the most devoted collection of dedicated volunteers incur expenses for insurance, administrative costs, this web site and so forth. So, please support the club by becoming a member.

Charity Rides

How should I prepare for a ride?

  1. Make sure your bike is mechanically sound i.e., brakes, cables, tires, ... before you leave home. We may be miles from any services.
  2. Be physically fit to ride the advertised distances and/or speeds. We won't leave you behind but we should be able to stay together.
  3. Bring water no matter what the weather. We perspire in cold as well as hot weather.
  4. Bring a spare tube that fits your bike (they're not all alike), tire changing tools and a pump. You'll get plenty of help but you need to bring your own supplies.
  5. Carry money, identification and contact phone numbers. In case of an accident, we need to know who you are and who to call.
  6. Arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ride and be ready when the ride starts.
  7. Wear appropriate clothing. Cycling shorts/pants, cycling shoes, and a brightly colored polyester jersey (for visibility) will serve you well. Avoid cotton: it does not work well in either cold or hot weather.
  8. Wear an approved helmet! If you don't know what that is, visit a bicycle shop. Your life may depend on it.
  9. If your a new member or thinking of becoming one, let us know. We'll make sure you enjoy the ride.
