North East and Clermont Co. Cluster Bike Rides

The North East cluster is the clubs largest cluster and has very popular rides that each feature multiple speed groups and draw up to 70 riders per week. There is something for everyone from the casual rider to the advanced riders. All our rides start in the Clermont County areas. Below is a list of our rides.

Tuesday Nights at Nisbet

When: Tuesdays at 6:15 p.m.
Where: Nisbet Park in Historic Loveland, OH 45140
Length: 28 to 45 miles (daylight dependent)
DIFFICULTY RATING: Intermediate
Route: Morrow, Oregonia, and Caesars Creek
Speed: We have three to four speed groups weekly:  15 to 16 mph, 16 to 17 mph, 17 to 18 mph  and sometimes an 19+ mph average group. 

Our groups are no drop, except when the 16-17 and 18+ are concurrently running. Then the 18+ is a drop and you can fall back to the 16-17 group if the 18 group is too fast. We will regroup at major intersections and at the top of all hill climbs. 

This will be a no drop ride, meaning that we will regroup at major intersections and at the top of all hill climbs. This ride runs year long and is canceled for wet /icy roads or when storms are threatening the area.

Thursday Bishops Bike Shop Ride

One of the longest running rides in Cincinnati. Featured in Bicycling magazine in fall 2010!! 

When: Thursdays at 6:15 pm
Where:  Bishop's Bicycles; 313 Main Street, Milford, OH
Length: 25 to 35 miles
DIFFICULTY RATING: Intermediate
Route: Varies, mostly urban routes
Speed: Multiple speed groups:
We have two to four speed groups weekly. There is a 14/15 mph (no drop), 15-16 mph, an 16-18 mph. Call the shop to see if there is a race pace 20+ group this week. Most group are no drop, except for the 20+ average racing group. We will regroup at major intersections and at the top of all hill climbs. Many participant gather post ride for refreshments at a local Milford restaurant.

Bishop’s Thursday Casual Ride

When: Thursdays at 6:15 pm
Where:  Bishop's Bicycles; 313 Main Street, Milford, OH
Ride Leader: Sheila Boggs
DIFFICULTY RATING: Social/Casual

We leave from Bishop's at 6:15, taking the back roads to the trail. From there, we will head towards the golf course, down to Newtown Rd., and then up to Mariemont to get some Graeter's ice cream. The group will pace with the slowest rider.  

Saturday Breakfast Ride (SBR)

When: Saturdays at 8 am April-November; 9 am December-February 
Where:  Eastgate Lanes parking lot in Milford/Goshen OH
Length: 40-42 miles standard route, 28 miles short route, 52 miles alternate long route.
DIFFICULTY RATING: Beginner to Advanced
Route: Painted marked route
Speed: Multiple speed groups:
14 to 15 mph
15 to 16 mph
16 to 17 mph
17 to 18 mph

This is a marked route ride of 42 miles that follows mostly flat country roads. We stop for breakfast half-way in Blanchester although some “express” faster paced riders will ride through. On most weekends in the main riding season we will offer ride leaders who follow a shorter route at a more casual pace, the availability of these leaders is announced on a weekly basis on the Ride Line. The SBR goes year round and if you have ever considered winter riding this would be a great group to get started with. Riders usually break into groups of 14/15 mph, 16-17 mph, and an 18+ mph average group. During May-August there is also a beginner group led by Bruce Fields or Kevin Armstrong that will go at a 10-12 mph average and a 28 mile route that starts at the Goshen Kroger.
