This is one of Warren County‘s weekly rides. We typically have two or three groups with about 4-10 riders, each. A typical average speed for the slowest group is 15 -16 mph and for fastest group is 17 - 20 mph (depending on hills and time of year). We will mix-up routes, including heading north to the hilly Oregonia, and Caesars Creek and East towards Blanchester. Expect some climbing, including unavoidable steeper climbs (10% gradient). Depending on the amount of daylight we usually do about 30 miles, at the beginning and at the end of the season, and up to 50 miles in the peak of the season.
All groups are No Drop rides. The route is usually sent out on the day of a ride. We regroup periodically to make sure that the group stays together.
Registration is required to have access to CCC insurance.
The Tour de Northern Kentucky is cancelled this week due to strong storms and high winds predicted. See you next week.

Plan on about 30/35 miles. Route TBD. There is usually at least one climb. There will be a guest ride leader.

Middleton Mills Park, off KY 16 south of Taylor Mill
Enjoy touring the scenic but challenging hills and valleys of northern Kentucky on quiet roads. We start from Middleton-Mills Park in KY and head across the Licking River. The more route will head south to Butler.
I wanted to ride in Kentucky this weekend but with the flooding I don’t feel like that is a good idea. Out of respect for the people living in the area I don’t feel right riding past them as they clean up their yards and homes.
The ride will be on Sunday riding from Miami Whitewater Forest at 11:00am. The route is 53 miles with 2,300 feet of climbing. Average speed should be in the 16 – 17 mph range. We will take the hills and valleys to Oxford, Ohio. Then return using a little flatter section of roads.
I ask that you respect the speed of the group. We will stay together as a group and regroup at the top of hills and intersections.
