A 31 mile ride with 1400 ft. climbing is planned at around a 13/14 average speed. A short stop is planned at Winton Woods. Bike helmet required. See ride CCC notification email for details.

Campbell County High School
This is the NKY cluster‘s first organized metric century of the year. With 3,532 ft of climb in 63.2 miles, with 4 good climbs from 0.8 to 1.6 miles each with @ 300+ feet of climb. Relatively flat for the first 15-20 miles so we will try and keep everyone together until the first climb and then split into two speed groups. Faster group will average about 17-19 mph overall and the intermediate group will be about 2-3 mph slower. Notable climbs are Holts Creek/Fisher; Ed Monroe; Lock Rd; and at the end South Licking Pike (which can be skipped by using Old Alexandria Pike). One stop in Falmouth (35 mile mark) with an optional stop in Butler. Regrouping points – No Drop – leader will sweep.
Helmets required – rear and front lights recommended.

This is one of Warren County‘s weekly rides. We typically have two or three groups with about 4-10 riders, each. A typical average speed for the slowest group is 15 -16 mph and for fastest group is 17 - 19 mph. We usually head north to the hilly Oregonia, and Caesars Creek so expect some climbing. Depending on the amount of daylight we usually do about 30 miles, at the beginning and at the end of the season, and up to 50 miles in the peak of the season. All groups are No Drop rides. The route is usually sent out on the day of a ride. We regroup every few miles to make sure that the group stays together. Please let the group ride leader know if you are planning to separate from your group, otherwise he/she might start looking for you.

WooHoo, expect Wednesdays‘s temperature to be mid/low 50’s during ride time. Good weather to get out.

Ride Description: Weather looks reasonable. Last ride before the return of Daylight Savings Time. A 31.4 mile spirited ride with 1,992 ft of elevation gained over four climbs (three of which are Cat 4 climbs) with paceline sections on KY-1566 and KY-8. Overall pace 17-19 mph (22+ mph in paceline). Regroup points and likely one more modest speed group. No Drop.
Rain or wet roads cancel ride – cancel decision by 3 PM. Helmets required. Front and Rear Lights highly recommended as we will return after dark.

England Idlewild Park, park past the basketball court.
Our first ride of the year starts from England Idlewild park in Burlington KY. Enjoy the scenic but challenging hills of Kentucky on lightly traveled roads. There will be two routes and two speed groups.

Low traffic roads, flat to gently rolling - no big hills. There will be one short stop in the town of Marathon where there is a park with a restroom (portalet). No water is available at the Marathon park. Some of us may go for lunch after the ride.

Our ride leaders are essential to our club. Come learn how to volunteer to be a ride leader, or come and learn what it is your leaders do for you. This is a good safety presentation for every member and a good refresher for current leaders. Weather permitting, we will ride after the class, so bring a sack lunch for between class and the ride.

Advanced ride to break an hour on the 21.73 Mile Strave Segment, 467 Hour Record from Worthville to Folsom. Steady ride out to Worthville, then we will do pace line (maybe double) trying to get as many people under an hour for the segment.

This week’s ride will take us out Brotherton Road to Park Aveune and Lafayette Avenue to Montgomery Road. Through Xavier and then through Eden Park. We’ll go over the Purple Bridge and up through Devou Park. We’ll return across the Taylor Southgate bridge and take Riverside Drive to Delta Avenue. We’ll end by hopping onto Wasson Way at Marburg and back to our start.
The route is 30 miles and 1450 feet.

A three hour tour from Campbell County H.S. Advanced ride , 18 mph+ thru the rolling hills of Campbell County and parts south. No scheduled stops so bring larger bottles and your own fuel. Will regroup after hills.

Ride Description: This is an out and back ride with no turns on a lightly traveled road, riders can go at their own pace and usually split into smaller groups. It is 14 miles to the end, but you can turn around early if you want to do less miles. Rt. 8 has some areas of bad road. Please call out any bad pavement. Average speeds range from 15-21. We usually break into 2 or more groups based on speed.

The Tour de Northern Kentucky starts from a different location every Wednesday. This week we start in Hebron KY. We will have 2 or 3 different speed groups (intermediate, advanced, race pace) and 2 different routes varying from 25 to 35 miles. South Milford through Old Milford. Rt, 126/Glendale-Milford. Turning just before Evergreen Cemetery onto Center Street and left onto the bike trail. Past 275. Left onto Bridge Street and left onto Loveland-Maderia. Carmago, right on Madison, right on Kenwood and through some side streets in Madisonville. Back to the church. 31 miles.
