This is one of Warren County‘s weekly rides. We typically have two or three groups with about 4-10 riders, each. A typical average speed for the slowest group is 15 -16 mph and for fastest group is 17 - 20 mph (depending on hills and time of year). We will mix-up routes, including heading north to the hilly Oregonia, and Caesars Creek and East towards Blanchester. Expect some climbing, including unavoidable steeper climbs (10% gradient). Depending on the amount of daylight we usually do about 30 miles, at the beginning and at the end of the season, and up to 50 miles in the peak of the season.
All groups are No Drop rides. The route is usually sent out on the day of a ride. We regroup periodically to make sure that the group stays together.
Registration is required to have access to CCC insurance.
Middleton-Mills Park
Off Rt. 16 south of Taylor Mill
We start from a different location every week. This week starts from Mills Park south of Taylor Mill. Turn right at park entrance. There will be 2 different speed groups (intermediate, advanced). These are beautiful country roads and traffic is generally light. Enjoy challenging but scenic Kentucky hills.
Former St. Margaret/St. John Church
This is a single speed group ride, we do not break up into sub-groups. We always wait at logical intersections and at the top of climbs for riders to regroup. It’s a no drop ride with a manageable sized group.
Plan on 34 miles and 1,400 feet of climbing with one large climb. Here is the route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/55092126?privacy_code=wsjdCNBIAdxlH0bTurMG7FPUh29NSTbm
A CCC RIde Waiver needs to be signed. We start a new season so a new waiver.
It may be getting dark before the end of the ride so headlights and tail lights are required. Helmets are required too, of course.
If you ride ahead of the group then you’re on your own.
We leave promptly at 6:30pm. Please arrive early. We will always do our best to observe all established traffic regulations and ride safely. Average speeds will vary between 14-16 MPH. Expect flat road speeds to exceed 20+ at times. Potential wet weather or wet roads will cancel the ride. Parking in the church lot is permitted.
Stonelick State Park - Beach Parking Lot
Ride Details
We’ll start and finish at the beach parking lot at Stonelick State Park (just follow the park signs to the beach).

The route follows mostly low-traffic roads and features flat to gently rolling terrain, with no major climbs—perfect for easing into the season.
We’ll make a short stop about halfway (around mile 12) at the Marathon Park. The route is 27 miles with 600 feet of climbing.

Come join one of the two large group rides hosted by the CCC (often greater than 50 people). There are often five groups, ranging from casual bikers who want to ride on a bike trail and slower bikers who want a scenic ride through Indian Hill to those who want an intense workout over a challenging, hilly course.
Routes will rotate weekly and will include both urban and rural rides. Route distances will vary weekly, but will range between 20-40 miles depending both on group and time of year. We also enjoy refreshments after the ride in the parking lot.
