Ride Details The ride will start and end at the Stonelick State Park Beach parking lot (follow park signs to the Beach). We’ll split into two pace groups if enough people show interest in a ride, but if not, we will play it by ear and make last minute decision. Regardless, no one will be left behind. Paces will range from 12 mph to 16 mph, depending on who shows up. The route uses low-traffic roads and is mostly flat to gently rolling, with no major hills. We’ll have a short stop in the town of Marathon, where there is a small park with a restroom (portalet). Note: No water is available at this stop. Some of us may go out for lunch after the ride. We usually go to lunch after the ride; we will decide where, depending on what is open by the time we are finished. ?? Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/48535681 ?? Looks like we are back in business. The Madville Night Ride is on this week. We‘ve all been away from outdoor rides for a while and enjoyed holiday feasting so let‘s ride accordingly.

Expect about 30 miles and under 1,000 feet of climbing. As we ride in the dark it tends to be a bit slower paced.

The ride is the same each week, reversing direction each week (subject to change with the new route). Weather permitting it continues all through the winter months each Wednesday night. This is a single speed group ride. There are no sub-groups. We always wait at logical intersections for riders to regroup. It’s a no drop ride. Average speeds will vary between 14-16 MPH. Expect flat road speeds to exceed 20+ at times. Headlights, taillights and helmets are required. Lighting is critical because we will be riding in the dark.

If you ride AHEAD OF THE GROUP then you’re on your own. And with the new route a wrong turn is possible.

Please arrive a few minutes early. We will do our best to observe all established traffic regulations and ride safely. Potential wet weather or wet roads will cancel the ride. Parking in the church lot is permitted.

We are back in business. We‘ve all been away from outdoor rides for a while and enjoyed holiday feasting so let‘s ride accordingly. Temperature should be just about 50º.
